We have spent a fascinating couple of days wandering the streets of this lovely, busy yet gentle place, encountering the wildlife, finding stillness in the temples and meeting some of the villagers who live in the hills surrounding the city.

A baby hefferlump!! Oh, I’m a sentimental old fool but I have the softest of soft spots for them. May those who harm, ill-treat or kill these beautiful creatures for their ivory tusks be struck down with all the force the universe can muster.
