We saw snow capped Mount Hood (11,235 feet) in the distance as we crossed the High Desert on the way to Warm Springs Indian Reserve.

It was a joy to watch Brooks Hinkerson paint at the Farmer’s Market and then share this afternoon with him painting in the garden.

Freshly cooked food for lunch and a lovely atmosphere with artists painting and musicians playing in the university area of SW Portland.
Tilikum
Caught the new MAX Orange Line to Milwaukie via the elegant Tilikum Crossing bridge which opened last week. The bridge carries public transport, bikes and pedestrians but no cars. It is a bridge ‘for the people’ taking its name from the Chinook words for ‘people’ and ‘place’.
Coffee and ginger cake in the Painted Lady cafe was delicious.
