Advent Eucharist at Wellington Cathedral of St Paul came alive with joy this morning as a young boy started to dance on the carpet below the choir stalls to the beautiful singing he was hearing.
We return tonight for the Festival of Nine Lessons & Carols.

Wellington – I loved it and I’m still there with you.(Stalking you through your blog!) Are you staying in the same place? I loved that too. xxx

Joy to the World – the Lord is come! Let Earth receive her King! Be that as it may, we are gearing ourselves up for the arrival of Storm Eva, helpfully named by the Irish Met Centre because she is due to say hello on Christmas Eve! I’m not sure how I feel about this business of naming our storms. The last one wrought havoc in many parts of Northern England last week but was called Desmond of all things – made me think of Oh Bla-di Oh Bla-da by The Beatles.
Frank’s broadcasting service is now closing down for the holidays so it is time for me to wish you both a joyous, peaceful and wonderful Christmas in anticipation of the continuation of a thrill packed adventure in 2016! I look forward to observing from a distance and frothing at the mouth with envy. Let us go forth into the new year with renewed optimism, love and light in the hope that we shall see peace and an end to sorrow and suffering.
Now, where did I leave my chunkyknit sweater? “Happy ever after in the market place ,,,”
